Puh-LEAZ! We are not aiming toward "roundness" when we spend time in the gyms and out jogging to keep our slim figures! We are aiming toward pleasingly curved and firm. While some of us are genetically prone to "middle-aged spread," we still attempt to keep it within tighter limits than our rounder "straight" neighbors.

The use of gay to mean homosexual was in origin merely an extension of the word's sexualised connotation of "carefree and uninhibited", which implied a willingness to disregard 'conventional' sexual mores.

The British used to refer to gay people "bent" which is where the term straight came to refer to heterosexuals.

I would think that straight would relate to a heterosexual being "on the straight and narrow" path with no deviations. A homosexual, on the other hand, bends from the straight path so perhaps you might want to use the term "bent" or "deviant" as they deviate from the "straight and narrow". Your choice.

LOL, mr Depressed. you seem to be spending a lot of time in the LGBT section. Care to answer why?
Not that there is anything wrong with that (I'm an atheist). I was just wondering.

Well, I'm "straight", but, I don't know, maybe I could be "round" for the right person. LOL

If you called homosexuals "round", wouldn't it make more sense to call heterosexuals "square"? I think crooked would make a better opposite of straight than round.

Because it wouldn't make sense to call homosexuals round when they are usually more body conscious, and thus more fit and lean than fatty straight frat boys.

LOL, your question made me think of an old song.

"Round, round, get around, like it around..."

I think it was by the Beach Boys, but I'm not sure.

Forward, not straight.

Homosexuals are "forward"-thinking and willing to take the path less traveled to find their destination.

Because round isn't the opposite of straight.

Flexible is. I am flexible. ;)
