The appearance of the moon naturally varies with its phases. But an infinite number of beautiful hues caused by our atmosphere, between it and your eyes, can 'colour' the moon in more shades than an artists palette.

Get a peak of the moon with any cheap telescope or even a pair of binoculars, and you will find that the moon is always amazing and awe inspiring!

Over 14 billion eyes served in the history of man.

The moon goes through "phases" - as it orbits the Earth we see changing amounts of it surface reflecting sunlight.
Last week it was "full", meaning it was on the far side of the earth facing the sun so we saw the entire side facing us completely sunlit.
As it keeps orbiting the earth it starts moving along side the earth so we see less of the sunlit side facing us. In another week it will be between us and the sun so the sunlit side will face away from us and we see only the unlit side (so its dark). Then it keeps moving around and we start to see more of the sunlit side until the next full moon.
This happens every month and has been happening for millions of years. I guess you just never noticed before.

nothing is wrong with it now, last week the sky was very clear but there were some very thin clouds that made the moon have a type of ring around it that is very pretty.....it just doesnt have the same conditions now as it did then

It hasn't been feeling well lately. Must be allergies. More probably, you have high clouds that shroud it.
