When it's 10 below in Maine, I hear little or nothing about global warming.
When it's 110 in the desert, we'll hear plenty from the advocates.
I suspect that's just the nature of anyone who is an advocate for this alleged phenomenon - if the weather is hot, it's global warming frenzy - if it's cold, the sound of silence.

Global warming is just that....global. It may mean that some localized areas are actually cooler. Also looking at temperatures for a few years really is irrelevant as well.

The real problem is that we do not have enough "GLOBAL" information for the last 150 years.

Been getting? It's always been that hot in those places during the summer. Nothing new under the sun. No pun intended. Global warming is a religion trying to be an industry.

I know you may find this hard to believe - but the people talking about this are scientists. That means they acutally study things closely - not just try to remember if it used to be this hot.
The world is heating up - that much is fact. If you want to keep going with this nonsense about global warming being a hoax - grab hold of one of the other nonsense explanations like sunspots or volcanoes - don't make yourself look twice as ignorant by pretending it isn't happening at all.

I don't know. here in Houston, it's been 85-87 degrees for the past 2 weeks. normally at this time, we would be 98-100 all the way to September. I guess it's weather?

Yeah, and the last 3 winters in my state (Indiana) have been the coldest we've seen as far as temperature in 60 years. Frankly, I could go for a little global warming around here.

By the way.......

That temp. is only e few days in july and august, Not the entire summer.............

I lived there for a few years and experienced the few days both months firsthand..........

And all the snow in China last year, snow storms etc.. That book should have been called "Inconvenient Lie" If that is what Gore was going to use to get into the running in 08, he sure messed that up. Maybe he should have called it "Inconvenient Flooding" then he might make a believer out of some people.

do you wanna here all the horrible things that have been happening to Earth the past few years?

1)smog causing chemicals from cars and trucks have declined 54% since 1970 even though the number of cars has doubled.

2)the level of carbon monoxide is down 53% since 1970.

3)emissions of sulfur dioxide is down 49% since 1970

4)between 1976 and 1990, the los angeles area averaged roughly 150 days per year in violation of federal smog standards. in 2004 only 27 days were in violation.

5)toxic emissions by industry have gone down 55% since 1988

im not saying we're perfect, there are obviously tons of things that we could decrease to help our earth. but i dont think that the US is the total problem. I mean Al Gore can talk to us all he wants but we arent going to fix the problem if China is producing more pollutants year over year than america can stop

Not sure. Not enough info. I am 75/25 that GW exists. Heatwaves have happened before. Yet I have heard that the polar icecaps are melting. Hence the 75/25.

Also, the fixes for GW are good for the planet even if GW did not exist. Renewable fuel and getting off of Mideast oil is enough for me to want to make a change.
