why does computer say primary hard driver not found?

put new h-d in desk top and this is what is happening. why?

Hi. The detection sequence is determined by your BIOS. Enter BIOS and change the sequence.

check your jumper settings on the hard drive if its by itself put it on cable select. but if its with another then one has to be master and one slave.
