uh. yeah. a man would say that to a married woman. but the problem is, he shouldn't have. cheating is anything that makes the spouse feel uncomfortable. it's your responsibility to not continue in such a flirtation. (honey, he was flirting with you). i do not allow any man or woman to say anything to me that they could not say in front of my husband. if they can't say it with him standing next to me, they shouldn't be saying it at all.

Explain to your co-worker that while you understand it was a joke you don't feel appropriate (as a married woman) joking in such a manner. Make sure he knows you're not upset and that you are still his friend but that you just don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. Then tell your husband that you apologize for any misunderstanding or any hurt feelings but that you love HIM and have no interest in anyone else. Tell him you see his point, feel he is right, and have asked your co-worker to correct his behavior. That being done there should be nothing left to fight about. Your coworker will see and respect your relationship with your spouse, and your husband will see that you respect not just your relationship with him but also his feelings. The best part about it is that you stop a problem before it gets out of hand AND you prove to hubby that his trust in you is well warranted. Hope that helps!

I think your husband might be over reacting to this situation--it sounds fairly innocent to me, but you really should not IM married persons---IM persons and especially married persons, sounds like there is something secret going on, so be safe, and dont do it.
Try to explain to your husband not to become over alarmed and if you need to, have the co-worker talk to your husband to say this was all a joke, but dont do this again!

Make that guy apologize to your husband for his bad joke. Take your husband to work and introduce him to the jokester and make him tell your husband the truth.

If you're telling the truth, you have nothing to worry about. Another question to ask is why your husband doesn't trust you to where he needs to snoop on your phone?

and why would he joke like that? Are you flirting with this guy or is it the guys nature to joke that way? Assure your husband that nothing is going on.
