i think the Lakers will definitely have to do something this off-season. First after all the "Kobe drama" for them not to do something is saying to all the fans that Kobe is right- no matter how poorly he handled the situation.
The good news for Lakers fans is that Kobe kind of softened his tone a bit today by apologizing to Kupchak. i think he's kind of accepted that he's not being traded- and now it's up to the team to respond. i think they still have a small shot at KG because Phoenix doesn't seem to want him-- and i think if Kobe got on the phone and KG made enough noise they could get him in L.A. (especially because the Wolves have shopped him around so much- they have to trade him).
i think the Lakers will use the mid-level exception to find a scorer or a point guard (maybe like a Steve Blake).
They need a point-guard. And another consistent scorer to help Kobe. If they trade Bynum and Lamar they'll need a solid superstar in return.

They wont trade Kobe, unless they take a big reduction in returning talent. They need a good 1 and 5. The 2, 3 and 4 are fine. Grab a decent 1 and watch the fortunes change. Don't over pay for Garnett. They won't win a title with only 2 totally maxed out players. Over pay for a good 1 instead.

they need kg......cause kobe said if they dont get him then hes leaving.....so they either got get kg or trade kobe for a couple off good players
