well im just typing w/ my right hand right now so sry for the errors

2day i was playing soccer(for fun, not officially). i ran after the ball an was running side to side with this kid from the other team, he pushed me and i fell over. the first thing that hit the ground was my left wrist. when i got up it didn't hurt that bad but my wrist was throbbing. my friend told me that if i could make a fist its not broken just really sprained, so i made a fist but barely.

i soaked it in iced water for 25 min and then put it on a pillo for 20 min.

wat it looks like right now: swollen all around the wrist but the swelling has gone down a bit. its still throbbing its extremly swollen by my vain and its hard there, if i lay both my hands on a flat surface, my left hand is slanted to the right while my right hand is straight

The idea that if you can move something then it is not broken is dead wrong. You have injured your wrist and since it is swollen in spite of icing and elevation you need to visit a doctor now.

It does not sound like its broken, but then again, fractures, even hairline fractures, can have minimal symptoms. If you are still in that much pain two days later and your hand is slanted, see the doc. If you have a purplish discoloration, most likely it is broken. Bruising is a sign of a fracture. The best thing you could do for yourself is go to the docs tomorrow if possible. At least you could get some pain pills or something to help you deal until it eases up some. In no way am I a doctor, and about the only advice you are going to get here is amateur, so your best bet is the doc's office.

That's a very nasty sprain all right. In fact, you might even have a cracked bone. I say cracked, not all the way broken. You would need an x-ray to find out for certain.

You might even need a bandage and brace to hold the hand until it heals. In the meanwhile, try not to work it too hard. And keep putting ice on it- though not to the point where you get frostbite.
