I took a hpt in April after having an abnormally light period. It came up faint +. Six weeks later I thought I had a miscarriage. I didn't bleed a lot except in the beginning and passed a long lumpy clot. Two weeks later another pregnancy test, another faint +. Now it doesn't look like I will get my period and my stomach is a bit bigger and rounder and the veins in my chest are more noticable. I got let go from my job and can't afford a doctor. I need to see one, but what could he do for me?

you need to see a dr. Its possible you miscarried a twin, or you may have had an incomplete miscarrage that is still producing hormones. You need to be checked out asap, go to a county clinic if you have no insurance. If you are pegnant you can get prenatal care from medicaid

If you feel fine, I don't see what a doctor can do for you. If you feel ill or your belly hurts or you smell an unusual odor, then go to the ER as you could have an infection.

In most cases, if you miscarried, there is nothing to be done, but occasionally, women don't expel all the stuff, and it's a problem. In the meantime, take either vitamins or prenatals (whatever you have in the house) now and every day on the assumption that you are still pregnant. If you expelled a twin, again, what could they do? Tell you that you are pregnant? That's about it and you can't afford that.

In the meantime, you should contact either Planned Parenthood for a referral for a low-cost pregnancy clinic or Social Services to find out if you eligible for Medicaid. Since you are unemployed, you may be eligible.

Same thing happened to my mom. Her doctor told her that she probably lost a twin, but my brother is here today and he was born at the original due date and he is perfectly fine.
