I really enjoyed it the last 2 summers. Some really good talent emerged. Was hoping it would continue this summer.

Unfortunately CBS canceled it . Mark Burnett and CBS wanted to take advantage of the release of Pirates of the Caribbean . So they created Pirate Master to replace Rockstar.
Pirate Master is like Survivor on a boat with eye makeup and pirate costumes.
It makes me sick personally. At least the contestants on Rockstar were talented, and it was a fun show to watch during the summer. Like having a mini concert every week.

CBS decided to cancel the show. It must have been difficult to come up with a viable band that needed a singer. I too enjoyed watching the past seasons and loved hearing some new twists on old classics.

They where going to do a 3rd apparently looking for a signing for the house band. however Mark Burnett the creater of the show also came up with the idea for Pirate Master which CBS now prefer so Rockstar has been dropped for now anyway.
Shame hey.

I have no idea. Maybe they couldn't find a band that needed a lead singer or something. I really like that show too. It was like the total opposite of American Idol. Pretty deep.

It is a shame - it was WAY more entertaining than Pirate Master. :(
