The current members of the UN can be found at www.un.org. The membership of the UN is pretty much every state. The WTO membership can be found at www.wto.org.

The UN is an all purpose organization but its main mandate is to maintain international peace and security. It does so mainly through the Security Council which decides on resolutions to address serious international security concerns. There are also various functional bodies of the UN that address specific issues such as refugees, human rights, world health and so on. There are too many bodies to list here but you can find them all at the website.

The purpose of the WTO is trade liberalization. Members negotiate trade rules based on principles of reciprocity, transparency, non-discrimination and equality. As with the UN, the WTO has many various bodies that deal with different issues.

As for the relationship between the WTO and business, there is none. Both the WTO and the UN are state forums meaning that only states have standing. if business has concerns that need to be addressed they voice these concerns to their national governments who will then raise the issues at these itnernational organizations if the business lobby has enough power to convince the government that they have a valid issue.

The United Nations is generally concerned with many aspects of the member countries such as military, scientific, educational, foreign relations and others. On the other hand, World Trade Organization is more concerned with the economic aspects of the member states.
