If you weren't afraid of being accused of spousal abuse and it wasn't a societal no-no, would you want to spank her for certain behavior: cursing, back talk, attitude, disobedience, unsafe actions (speeding, driving under the influence), etc.? Basically, if society didn't tell you "no", can you think of circumstances that you would discipline your wife by spanking (not beating) her?

NO, what would that do other than make her feel abused and unloved. You do not DISCIPLINE your spouse. She is an adult and deserves the respect from you that comes with that. The idea you are suggesting is sick, demeaning and overall just an ignorant one.

I already spank my roommate for discipline, and it was something that she asked for when we started the relationship. Too many people think that spanking is just about sex, which it isn't. Most of the time, I either spank her playfully for the hell of it, or I spank her to correct a behavior that she already knows she shouldn't be doing.

It sounds a little childish to spank an adult for being disobedient, don't you think but anyways, I would prefer talking to the person as it would sound more logical. I believe that every adult is entitled to some respect and even there may be misunderstandings, we should talk and not do anything physical like beating, spanking etc.

I often spank my g/f for 'attitude' - it's as good an excuse as any to put her across my knee. The only consequences are that we have great sex.
'Discipline' should never be more than a pretext. Spanking should always be consensual, given and received with love.

Definitely. Nature is wise, and gave females lovely soft round bottoms for a good reason. Besides, the only sight lovelier than a cute bare female bottom is a cute bare blushing female bottom. Vive la fessée - et vive l'amour!

No. If a person thinks that's ok, it means he learns it from his parents. That also means we are perpetuating parents spanking children and they grow up thinking that's the way to punish disobedience. The logic goes that way, not the way you thought

Yes, domestic discipline is perfectly fine as long as it is consensual and it is not abusive. It always depends on the circumstances of the couple however.

Yes, If both partners agree to this type of relationship. It's actually called domestic discipline. I am in that type of relationship with my husband.

I live in a small town in TN where a ministers wife shot her husband in the back and she got off with six weeks in jail and is spending the remainder of her sentence in a mental hospital. With thinking like that, you might need to lock up your guns. The only spanking my man should give me is a playful one, not for discipline. We teach children to use their words to solve their problems, what is wrong with that approach?
