I have a MacBook, and there is oily residue all over the screen. Every time I wipe it with my microfiber cloth, it just spreads it around or makes it worse. I've even tried using water and running alcohol. Any ideas on how to remove this oily residue?

A soft cotton or microfiber cloth dampened with some mild soap solution (like liquid hand soap).

It may take several applications to get it all off. Keep turning the cloth so you are using a clean part of the cloth and not just smearing the dirt and oil around.

Make sure the cloth is not so damp that water runs down the screen when you press on it. Water and the electronics just behind the bezel do not mix well.
