The troops can easily communicate with people in America. Ever heard of the telephone? Or the internet?

Bush could be impeached for using his office to deceive the public as to the reasons for the Iraqi invasion. The problem here is that the Bush Junta has hidden or destroyed the evidence. Those involved, folks like Scooter Libby could decide to come clean at some point, but by then it will be too late for impeachment...but not for inditment in federal court. Libby himself laid it on the line...get me a pardon before you leave office or I'll publish a tell all book that will will bring you down to rock bottom. I suspect that down the road someone will produce the evidence and Bush and Cheney will have to face a jury. I'd give this outcome at least a 50/50 chance. The truth is out there!

Why then do the troops support him so much? Because you dislike the war does not mean you control the hearts and minds of the soldiers. You have no idea what a dictator is. Just because you disagree with his politics does not make him a dictator. If he were a dictator why has he not just taken control of the media like every other dictator is. He could be just like Saddam or Chavez and have a 100% approval rating.

Not having the votes in the Senate never stopped Republicans when they went after Clinton. The impeachment will start in Aug., Sept. and Oct. of 2008. Just before elections. The goal of Democrats will be to keep every voter glued to the TV. The investigations of crimes in office by Bush and Cheney will be greater then Nixon and Clinton added.

Bush could easily be impeached if the Democrats wanted to but he would probably remain in office since there simply are not enough votes to convict.

The fact that he has not in fact committed any impeachable offenses will guarantee that he is never impeached. Come on, Speaker Pelosi and Harry Reid would start impeachment hearings in a second if they had the ammunition. That was one of their campaign promises.

Good point. I don't think most people realize that the solders have a muzzle on. Most people don't pay attention, and don't realize that not only are the solders ordered not to talk about what has been going on in the war, but also ordered not say that they were ordered not to talk about the war. So it will be interesting to hear the stories after everything is said and done...

Actually, the troops coming back are usually p!ssed about the portrait the media is painting. The ones I talked to talk about the progress and bring the people a better life, but the news doesn't talk about that. I guess you hadn't done much research have you? Muzzle, that's funny.

Troops rotate home regularly, they also end their military terms, so you are certainly speaking of something you know nothing about. Bush will not get impeached because he has not committed a crime.

No, the fact that the political numbers aren't in the Senate to convict, the war does not qualify as "high crimes and misdemeanors," and even the Democrats aren't dumb enough to waste political capital on a fruitless exercise all guarantee that Bush won't get impeached.
