I have always pronounced it 'knee-its-sche', but i have heard it pronounced 'knits-scha' as well. So, how do you properly pronounce that?

In all the college courses where Nietzsche was brought up, the name was always pronounced "neet-SHE".

The first way (...ish), the second is wrong, the last vowel is like the first in Elephant

I've always heard NEET-shee. 2 syllables. Yourdictionary.com uses a slightly different pronunciation, as you can hear below...but I have never heard it quite that way.
