I had sex a week after my period with my x-boyfriend. The next week I had sex with another dude, but i was on birth controll and took the morning after pill. I had a feeling I was pregnant before i had sex with the second guy, but didnt know for sure. Now i am pregnant. According to my period i would be very much so pregnant by the first guy, according to my blood test i would be pregnant closer to the second guy. But the testput me at a week that i didnt have sex at all after i had sex with the second guy. This is a bad situation and im stressin myself to the extreme. Besides a paternity test, what can i do?

Jerry springer, maury, opera?hahahaha theres nothing you can do besides a paternity test. now you have to go through not knowing which one of them is the father of your baby. good luck telling both of them and telling them they could be or couldnt be the father.

Okay, generally you will ovulate 14 days after the FIRST day of your period (or the first day of your cycle). Now, if the doc tells you that you are 4 weeks, then your conception date would actually be 2 weeks ago, since they count you 40 weeks of pregnancy from the first day of your last period (aka, the first day of your cycle).

That said, how long ago was this. Because if you were on birth control, and took the morning after pill, then you probably got pregnant after the second guy, like the next cycle. Make sure to ask your doc when the date of conception is, not the date they are counting as the first day of your cycle. also, in the beginning ultrasounds are very effective at telling you EXACTLY how pregnant you are (almost to the day).

When you speak to your doctor, let him know it is important for you to know the date of conception, don't try to do the math yourself since it is confusing.

First, you need to understand how your cycle works.

You usually ovulate two weeks (or so) after the first day of your LMP. Sperm can live for several days in the female body, but die off. The egg, released at ovulation, is only viable for a short amount of time (24 hours max).

Next, the date of conception is not always the date that you had intercourse. It can take several days for the sperm and egg to meet, and then it can be several more days before implantation occurs.

From the information you gave, I would guess that the "other dude" fathered the child.

The only way to know for certain, however, is to have a paternity test performed.

In optimal conditions sperm can survive UP TO 5 days. Conception could easily have occurred from either man as much as a week after sex. No way to really tell until you haev that paternity test. You can try to guess better after an early ultrasound. But remember the 5 day thing......and count back 38 weeks from your due date.

You will not know who the father is for certain until your child is born. It depends what state you are living in I could advise further if you are living in WA. but generally, it is not a cheap exercise, but your answer will be 100% correct, which afterall is what you are looking for. You can do the math regarding ovulation, survival of sperm and so on, but ultimately, the paternity test is your ONLY answer. Save your money and anxiety next time by using appropriate (for you) contraception.

sounds like the second guy to me. If you are on a 28 day cycle and had sex with the 2nd guy 2 week after your af. you were ovulationing the implatation happened 6-10 after that explaining your 1 week on the blood test.

more i think of it the 2nd guy for sure

Probably the second guy. You don't start ovulating til like two weeks after the period. Always use protection and sleep with one so you won't have to go thru this again next time.

This would depend on how long your cycles are. If you have a 28 day cycle and you had sex with your ex 14 days after the first day of your period, he is probably the father. I would ask your doctor.

Wait until the baby is born and do a paternity test. It could be either man.

You really are messed up. There's really nothing you can do until the baby is born and have the paternity test.
