because when he says something they all look at him but they dont talk back.

in one episode i believe it was lois who once said i agree with stewie after he had said something.

The only episode where they totally understand him is the 2 part episode where stewie kills lois and then ends up getting killed when he takes over the world. They do understand him, because we find out at the end that the whole thing was just a simulation. The only person who understands Stewie is Brian. Other times, the characters will seem to respond to Stewie, but its really just like anyone would respond to any baby when they are babbling.

Brian understands Stewie, and we understand both Brian and Stewie, but no one on the show understands Stewie EXCEPT Brian.

No one in the family understands Stewie. It takes clever people like us in the viewing audience to understand the little guy.

Brian always does. As for the others, it does happen, but rarely (more in the later seasons). As a rule Lois never does.

Yes, Brian and Meg and Chris all understand him. They've all responded to him several times. Lois has on several occassions too.

i think they do..........brain for sure does. remember the episode with the dollar battle between chris, meg, and stewie...they definitely understand him there.
