Yes, but there will always be homophobic people. I don't think anyone will actually find a homophobic person disgusting if they just keep the mouths shut.

Define racist.

If you mean someone who negatively judges a person on the basis of race, I agree. That is disgusting. And counterproductive and just plain wrong.

But, if you want to Sharptonize the word to mean "disagreeing with any part of the modern race pimps' agenda," then no, that isn't disgusting at all but is laudable.

Define "homophobic."

Homophobic literally means "afraid of homosexuals." That isn't really disgusting, but is a little weird. Fear of homosexuals is irrational.

But, because we live in a society that insists on redefining words based upon politics (euphemism being the life's blood of liberalism), you probably define it as one who hates homosexuals. And to hate someone based upon their homosexuality is, again, disgusting, counterproductive and just plain wrong.

But, if you define "homophobic" as having the audacity to disagree with the far left wing agenda of normalizing homosexuality to the point of presenting the lifestyle as a normal and desirable alternative to heterosexuality, and forcing that agenda onto school kids by legislative fiat, then, again, I must disagree.

A careful definition of terms is imperative to understanding your question.

Many of the views they hold are. But still, racism and homophobia might sometimes be two different things. I think that racism is always bad and disgusting. But homophobia can be a word that is applied to people who hold views that are not seen to be in keeping with the gay rights movement. For example, at the moment my church, and many other churches, are grappling with the idea of same sex blessings and the ordination of homosexuals. While I am for same sex marriage, I still feel that it is unfair to apply the label of "Homophobia" to the people on the opposite side. They have opinions, traditions, and interpretations of scripture that they are entitled to. And most of them are great people despite the views they hold.

As for homophobes, I have noticed that what is called homophobia is simply a healthy dislike for the homosexual point of view. It is perfectly fine for a person to seriously dislike another based on their viewpoint or lifestyle. It is not okay for them to physically harm them, but it is okay and normal for them to not like them. Psychological fact.

No, they are just disturbed people who were probably taught the hate from an early age. My family tried to brainwash me too, but I guess it didn't work. I'm white and married a Mexican. LOL.
They just need help, but are most likely unwilling to get it.

I dont think they're disgusting, but I do think they are wrong to judge people so unfairly just because of a skin color or a sexual preference. But that just my opinion.
