Sadly, there are no plans for a third trilogy to be made. Ever. There will be some TV show-style Clone Wars movies, but nothing that takes place after "Return of the Jedi." While Star Wars originally was intended to be a set of three trilogies, George Lucas has said on several occasions that the last of those will not be made.
There have been a lot of rumors concerning 7-9 put out by a fraudulent source known as SuperShadow, but none of these are true.

Lucas originally planned on making three trilogies and the third was supposed to come out in 2012 with all the same (and obviously much older) actors from Episodes IV-VI. Unfortunately, George changed his mind (the one thing you can count on him to do) and decided not to make them after all. In case you didn't get the hidden message there; there will be no more star wars movies...ever...at least not until Lucas dies and someone else buys the rights.

George Lucas announced that he has three more episodes to put out, he also released the summaries for each movie on a website, but I can't remmember what it was. However, if George Lucas becomes ill seeing that he's at an older age, there is a rumor that his daughter would take over production of the movies. There is still a debate over if his daughter will actually take over, but the next three episodes are ready to be filmed as soon as actors are cast for the roles in the movies [ex. Luke, Leia, Han, Anakin (Han and Leia's son), etc.]
Hope that helps!

George Lucas did an interview a while back saying that he had no intention of making a third trilogy since the story pretty much concluded in the first three (4, 5 and 6).

i wouldn't trust anything that's not from the official star wars site... as far as i know for now, there won't be anymore movies, although the storyline has extended to a lot farther than what transpired in the films...

I say yes: I've heard that Luke eventually went over to the dark side...
Also, I'd like to know more about the history of the Jedi & the Sith, and why they're "Arch enemies".
