I was just wondering if it will be compatible with my motherboard and will work on my computer. I know it won't be able to operate at the 1000Mhz on my motherboard. Will it operate on 800Mhz though?

Almost all, and certainly ANY half way decent motherboard will use the memory, contrary to the last answer. In fact, most good motherboards will in fact let you use the RAM at the 1000Mhz speed, you will just have to manually set it to that in the BIOS.

some motherboards guard DDR or DDR2 RAM yet you won't be able to blend it. while searching for a motherboard seem settle on in case you propose to enhance to DDR2 then seem for one that guard the two. in case you think of you will persist with DDR there are lots of stable boards available that have compatibility with DDR memory.

some will go down to 800 i think, but most will not work, give it a try as long as you can return it, but it would be cheaper to go with 800
