In my opinion, no. However, everyone is being Politically Correct by not saying so. They will do their talking in the voting booth, if he should get the nomination. I also don't really think they will vote for a woman no matter how many people endorse her or how much money she piles up in her campaign chest. Perhaps I am really wrong on this, but I don't think that a woman can or will be elected, yet. She talks the talk the same as Obama, but I don't think that either can walk the walk!

I think the question should be

Is America Ready for a President?

Yes and no. America is ready for a big change. We are talking about race, sex, style of running. Personally I think that the candiates often forget about the little people. Hillary is a good example she seems to have forgotten about the average American and everybody is focused on the money that they get from big business or lobbiests.

While I don´t think that Obama's experience stacks up in comparison with Giuliani...and I don´t think he can overcome the political favor's owed the Clinton's to win the Dem. nomination....I do think that the USA is ready for a President of an ethnic background...be he/she black, mexican, jewish etc.

Best Regards.

No i don't think so
We as a Nation are still very prejudice
The fact you need an answer and it is not just a after thought about race is proof only.
This country has race issues and its not only from the white side of the tracks.
The day will come, but I do think we are not ready.
