A while back I was at the mall and some Page Parkes representatives asked me to sign up for their Faces of Summer model search thing. So I did. I just got a phone call to come to seminar and evaluation thing on Saturday and I am clueless. They are going to talk to us about getting into the industry and finding an agent. Then they are going to have us do a short commercial to evaluate our appearance and personality. That makes me SOO NERVOUS! What do I wear???? How do I act??? Also they want us to bring a few recent snapshots from around the house, what kind of pictures should I bring???

It would be great if someone with experience could answer my questions. As I said I am totally clueless and inexperienced so I need things explained in detail...

Parkes is not a borderline scam is is a SCAM

I am guessing you are in Dallas area, they have been fishing for preteens a lot. This is not the way to break into modeling & film. All they want to do is sign you up for classes and get you to open your pocket book. Please do not waste your energy and time going to that meeting. They are trained to pitch sale very well and can be totally convincing, they'll tell you what you want to hear cause they get paid by commission. They are worse then the Barbizon school people.

Page Parks is "Borderline SCAM." They are like John Robert Powers and Barbizon. They ONLY want your money. Is it Page Parks in Houston?

Now that they have you in their grasp they will call you relentlessly to take their expensive course. Don't do it!

Legit talent and modeling agencies have qualified experienced people beating down their doors to get contracts. They turn people away in droves. They don't need or employ "talent scouts." I'm glad you asked this question before you went. I hope you take our advice and don't go.
