I looked up free dialup services on Google and here's what I found:

1) NetZero: Free Internet Access
http://account.netzero.net/s/landing?group=freecorp&refcd=cj&cf=cj&AID=10388574&PID=1879358&SID=dialup
* 10 free hours of web surfing
* Free 1 GB email account
* Spam and email virus protection
* Thousands of access numbers
* Millions of users nationwide
* Email access from any computer - anywhere, anytime
* Instant messaging compatibility [with popular programs such as AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, Yahoo!]

2) FreeDialup.org
http://www.freedialup.org/site/
Free Dialup.org is a complimentary dialup service from Metro2000, an ISP provides high speed Internet access lines, web hosting services, server collocation and wholesale services including dialup service. Using this free service is very easy: Find a modem access number from the access numbers list. Setup a new dialup networking connection. Use your phone number as your username, and password to connect.

3) GreatDialUp

[Free Member]
*2 GB Email
*Toll-free Access Numbers
*Free dial-up internet service

OR

[Premium Member] - $5
*Priority Connectivity
Premium users will have guaranteed connections, where as the free service can sometimes be busy.
*10 Gigabyte Email Account
Where the free service offers you a 2 Gigabyte email account, Premium customers will receive a 10 Gigabyte email account.
*Web Filtering
Premium customers will have the option to enable a content filtering service to filter out unwanted web sites, such as violence, gambling and adult content. This is offered at no extra cost to Premium customers.

4) DialinFree
http://www.dialinfree.net
Offers dial-up service for free, but I believe it's only for people who live in Michigan.

5) NoCharge
http://www.nocharge.com/

6) MetConnect
http://www.metconnect.com/

7) Nyx
http://www.nyx.net/

8) NoFeeISP
http://nofeeisp.com/

The only things you have to consider if you're planning on getting free dial-up is the access numbers (you have to make sure you won't get billed in your telephone), and priority connectivity (a lot of people use these free stuff and there's always a chance that the access number you're dialing to might be busy, therefore it might be hard to connect). Some of them limit the number of hours you can use.

Here's a website that has a list of cheap dialup, as some free dialup services limit the number of hours you can use, these paid ones offer unlimited hours:

netzero has a forty hour a month plan for free. Ten dollars for all month. Better get the free service before they shut off the dsl so you can use the internet to contact netzero. Or try peoplepc.
