It's fine. If you did loose power it would be like unplugging the cable. No harm.

If you are afraid of losing power and want to make sure you save anything before you loose power, buy an APS, it will give you 30 minutes of power when the power goes out.

The biggest problem is a ground fault surge from a lightning strike.

If the storm is a fast mover and the lightning is few and far in between, I usually keep my computer on. If the storm is frequent lightning, I turn it off and turn off the surge protector.

will you get a shock? no, if your electric is done correctly, your computer is grounded and any surge will ground out and not effect you.................

Your computer may get shocked. If this happens, you will most likely destroy your powersupply or motherboard----or both.

your best bet: Turn it off until the storm passes.

No it's not fine you morons. I live in Indonesia where we get thunderstorms nearly every day, and the owners of the compound I live on say they will not take any responsibility for damages done by storms. My advice is to unplug your computer until the storm is over.
