I like Dell because you can totally customize it for your individual preferences... but my next purchase will be another HP (i've had both in the past- my first HP (the ones with the speakers attached to the monitor lol) was purchased in 1998 and it finally gave up on me in the spring of last year.)

deffinitly Hp its a little more but its amazing also ive used dell and i hated it also my friends uncle bought his for 1200 (dell) used it for about a week then burnt it in a bonfire
also my dads emachine from dell has been replaced 5 times in the past 3 years and we had to replace the motherboard twice and this machine is hardly used
