It was not "reasoning" like you and I reason. It was based in a vile hatred. You have to understand that it wasn't just Hitler, but thousands of ordinary Germans who hated the Jews and used the racial ideas of Nazism to take advantage of, evict, steal from, and murder Jews.
This attitude ran deep (and probably still does in some circles) in Germany and in the 30s. It goes way back. Nearly 450 years ago Martin Luther, whose influence on German thought was enormous, published horrific anti-Semitic statements. He advocated getting all Jews out of the German areas. He wanted them to be stripped of everything they owned and evicted. He said that after this event they would then "sit around in their synagogues complaining to their God about the way they were treated."
Hegel was another massive influence on Hitler. He believed in blind obedience to the State as the supreme ruler of the individual. He and many other Germans believed in war, believed in a lack of compassion, and believed that Jews and others were to blame for all things wrong in the world.
There is an excellent summation of this in The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich- still essential reading to a student of this period of history. It appears on pages 97- 113 and covers Fichte, Hegel, Luther and the weird writings of H.S. Chamberlain.

Really, some idiots such as wheeza shouldn't be allowed to contribute answers since they have absolutely no idea what the heck he is talking about.
Not only was Adolph Hitler ALIVE during WWI, he was a lance corporal and won a decoration.
Hitler, was in fact, an anti-semite, he hated everyone not of the aryan race and that included jewish semites and arab semites. It also included communists, gypsies, homosexuals, and retarded people.
The idiotic leaders of the allied powers accepted the german armistice on the basis of Wilson's 14-points and when the germans gave up their strong defensive positions the allied nations reneged and made Germany SOLELY responsible for the causation of WWI, when nearly everyone was to blame for the war.
Several of the leaders of the new German Govt(after the kaiser abdicated) who accepted the Versailles Treaty were Jewish, so Hitler blamed them for that and accused them of war profiteering as well.
The terms of the treaty was so crushing to the German economy, that it crushed the spirit of the German people.(There is a famous photo of a woman pushing a wheelbarrow full of money to the baker to pay for bread)
Hitler did as FDR in the '30's, he renewed the confidence of their people in themselves and in their country and unlike FDR, actually revived the German economy from the depression(FDR, despite the lies of his publicists, did not get the US out of the depression until after WWII started)
whale
PS- Don't take the fact that i have explained Hitler's reasoning to be an admiration for the man, he was an idiot, a killer and a megalomaniac.

There actually was rationale for Hitler s hatred of the Jews. Germany had WWI in the bag until Chaim Weizmann convinced England to involve the US, in exchange for control of Palestine. The German s defeat in WWI culminated in the Treaty of Versailles (also partly architected by the Jews), which utterly humiliated Germany. The unrealistic penalties imposed on Germany by the treaty resulted in the destruction of the German economy and currency, and ultimately, WWII.

~He was simply a product of his times and bought into the teachings of any number of sources, including the Catholic Church. At the risk of sounding anti-semitic (a misnomer since there are more non-Jewish semites than Jewish ones) at least some of the teachings were based in fact and not wholly incorrect. Hitler was hardly unique in his hatred of the Jews, his was just a little more honest and vocal about his prejudices than most. Maybe that's why the "Ship of the Damned" ended up back in Germany after seeking refuge at virtually every port (including more than one in the US) and being refused. That did not make him right, but his ideas were hardly novel, unique or even a minority view. They were built on centuries of European precedent, which began before the founding of Rome.
For a complete answer, hit the books - you ain't gonna get it here. For instance, Hitler was not only alive in WWI, but he was gassed in the trenches by the French. You cannot understand Hitler the man without understand Germany, Europe and the world at large in the 20's and 30's.
Contrary to the drivel in most of the answers above, he did not come to power based on his anti-Jewish rantings. He rose to power by having some of the best minds in Germany at the time rallying behind his plans for reform, the German people were tired of being ground out of existence by the terms of the Treaty of Versailles (as predicted by Woodrow Wilson - who was ignored), and he was able to build his own army to push his election through against a crumbling government brought about by his neighbors and ultimate foes, the Allies.
Read a little about the man and what he did accomplish. Fascinating stuff. But for his racial purification ideas - which extended far beyond the Jews (the Jews, in fact, were a minority of the folks he and the Nazis murdered), and his overreaching territorial aims, he could have been one of the most influential political leaders of the 20th century. Perhaps that's why Time Magazine named him Man of The Year in 1938. What the heck, Charlie Manson played a mean guitar, too.
Isn't it nice that the anti-Jewish sentiment has so abated in the modern world. Just ask the Syrians and Libyans. Not to mention ultra-rightist "christians" and the Idaho militias (and saucer, above)

he said that the Jews were taking all the money from Germany because they were greedy. there was a history of anti-antisemitism through out human history. the Jews basically became the scapegoat for Germany's problems. also, it is thought that Hitlers father was a Jewish man and he left his mother alone and poor so there may be something there too.

He was looking to blame anyone. The Jews were an easy target in those days because they were a minority group and Germans were easily brainwashed/scared into thinking like him.

The accentual reason was to gain popularity between German commanders of WWI such as Erich Ludendorff (who later saved Hitler's life after his unsuccessful revolt against government)

Hitler blamed the Jews for everything. It was a political ploy designed to distract people in order to prevent them from wanting to reform their whole society, which is what was really needed.
Even in our own time, politicians constantly prefer to blame somebody than to solve the problem.
