I think that it would have to be a toss-up between Morbid Angels "where the slime lives" and Slayers " reign in blood". Iron Maidens "2 minutes to midnight" is good. Breaking the law by Judis Priest. More human than Human- White Zombie and I like ALOT of Underground stuff like Disillusion, Agalloch, Arsis, Emperor, Mayhem, Opeth (even though they are mainstream now), Necrophagist, Katatonia, Moonspell, Into Eternity. OLD Shadows fall, mainly death metal and black metal

Don't know much about the underground stuff. Sorry. I like Metallica best, Quiet Riot and Van Halen and Def Leppard, even if some do consider them more pop than metal.
