It does everything they say it would:
• I transferred my number from Verizon, so activation took a while, but now that we're up and running, we've gotten good service from AT&T so far in New Jersey.
• Surfing the web from a device so small (about the same size as the video iPod, but double the screen size) is amazing... of course, I learned BASIC in High School on an Apple IIE in 1982 - so I truly know just how far this technology has come in only 25 years.

There are some limitations, so whether it's "worth it" depends on the individual user's needs. A better place to get an idea of how it's doing is on the User Discussion pages at
Apple: http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=201
and AT&T: http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board?board.id=apple

Not only does it do everything it is supposed to but it is better then I imagined it to be. This phone is fantastic. it is much better than the blackberry. The screen picture is phenomenal! When you are listening to your music and a call comes in it fades out the music and answers your call. You can have multiple web pages open at the same time. Dialing the phone (and any touch screen process) is easier than with a conventional phone because the keys are larger. Text messaging if great and you get to see the the entire conversation. If you have the money to buy this phone you will not be disappointed.
