No, the amount of time that you were on the pill will not affect the timing of you getting pregnant. Good luck!

I was on the pill for 8 yrs and it took me 3.5 yrs to get pregnant, and I always thought it might be from that. We did not do any testing, because we did not want to spend all the money on it and my doctor kept telling me to be patient, it would come in time and it did. My husband did switch from briefs to boxers (supposedly better for the sperm) about 3 months before I got pregnant, I do not know if that did it either, I just know once I was able to quit obsessing on it, it did happen, not in a month or two but it did. I was also told to drink to help you relax before having sex, I know a lot of people will give that a thumbs down, but at that point I was willing to try it.
Once I had my first daughter, I got pregnant the first time we had unprotected sex after, so it may not be as hard the next time around, so be careful. It was only once and I was on my period, so we did not use a condom that one time and here she is LOL Of course it was a wonderful blessing, I was just shocked it could take so long the first time and not the next.
Hang in there, it will come in time.

I was on the pill for 22 yrs with no break . I fell pregnant 6 months after stopping and I'm expecting my first baby ( boy ) in 2 weeks . And I will be 6 weeks short of 44 yrs when baby arrives !!! 4 years on the pill is nothing to worry about. I might also add that I was not trying to get pregnant. I was relaxing and allowing nature to take its course. So all I can suggest is 'relax' - it worked for me ..

It can take a few months or more before you even start ovulating again. Do you chart temps, or use ovulation prediction kits? If so, you probably know already if you're ovulating. If not, there are a lot of charting websites out there that will help you get familiar with your cycle.
It takes some time for you to get back to a normal cycle once you've been off the pill. Be patient, and if you have any more concerns -- just ask your doctor.
Best of luck!

I was on the pill for 4 1/2 years and got pregnant on the first try. Every woman is different, and the fact that you haven't gotten pregnant probably has nothing to do with your pill use.
Relax, and it will happen when your body is ready.

I heard that but I think it's a rumor. I think if you try not to concentrate and just let it happen it will. Most of the population was not planned. Stress will keep your body from doing a lot of things. I was on the pill for two years and while on the pill I went out drinking with my girls and came home and attacked my man. I did not use anything else because alcohol kills the pill, but I didn't know that at the time so imagine how weird I felt at the doctor when I had my check up. I guess I said that to say just let it happen and use alcohol moderately? :)

I was on the pill for 10 years and got pregnant the 1st month. Every woman is different. If you are under 30 give it another 4 months and if nothing happens go see a fertility specialist, if you are over 30 I suggest going to get checked by a fertility specialist now.

It could be. I was on the pill for 6 years and it took us almost a year. Stress is really a factor, so just try to relax and let it happen. I know it's hard, but it takes time. Good Luck

not likely, it may take a while for you to resume ovulation after the pill, but some women concieve the fist month. If it goes on for 2-3 monnths more call you dr. Or try an ovulation prediction kit, it may help you with your timing so you can concieve

B/cu r trying to get pregnant most likely it's not going to happen. U have to wait when the time is right.Pray & ask God about it & leave it alone. & b/c u r trying u r putting u & ur partner @ stress and that makes it hard to get pregnant. There is alot of thing u could look @ like ur weight, his sperm count etc. Good Luck
