I would prefer that those who call themselves my friend be honest with me although I would hope that they would do so with tact, diplomacy, and respect.

I always appreciate the truth. In the end it's much easier to deal with than pretty lies, and made up fairy tales.
I am definitely not a fan of the "ignorance is bliss" crowd.

Sorta it depends on what they say to me. I feel that if it will help me in the long run then I dont mind it. If it will do nothing but hurt my feelings and doesnt accomplish anything by telling me then it was better left unsaid.

No. I am very fragile. My true friends know that, so someone who would tell me something that would hurt me probably doesn't know me well. The only thing I'd want to know is if I was being intimate with someone who had HIV/AIDS.

When I was young and insecure, I was offended!
But time showed me that it can be an act of kindness. And It takes great courage to do. It does make a difference in how it's presented, though.

Well if I wasn't supposed to know, it's good that I do find out. If it's something I don't want to hear, I just sortof forget about it, unless it's brought up, and my answers are needed about it.

Definitely. It may hurt but this is what separates a real friend from a "fake" friend. I don't want politically correct friends.

If I asked a question about it, yes. But if it's just blurted out for affect, then that friend will be a former one pretty quick.

Yes, because sometimes I may not see something the same way he or she sees it.
No petty stuff though.
