Yes I think she has an allergy. At the same time though, it could be a combination of several different infant issues. First I will say she sounds colicky- my son had colic and he would scream every time he got gas. Try mylicon, or to save a little cash, I know several drugstores have their own gas drops. I've tried at least 8 different kinds and none work better than the next, but they're all effective.
The rash could be baby acne as someone else has said, or it could be a reaction to formula, a blanket, your detergent or ten other things.
Overall, I think the best thing to do is try a gentler formula. I thought my son needed soy, but first I tried Nestle Good Start and he thrived on it. It took a few days but after his belly adjusted things were much better. Good luck and don't get discouraged because the doctors can't figure this out- remember, they call it the medical practice for a reason! Take care!

She is either allergic to the formula, or she has a medical condition that causes her body to not be able to process her formula, or maybe she has reflux disease. I'm not trying to alarm you, but has she been checked for Cystic Fibrosis? And did she have her PKU test when she was born and then the follow-up one a few weeks later, this is the test where they prick the heel and put the blood drops onto a little card. If your Dr. won't listen to you, go to a different one. And then another, then another. Make your voice heard and don't give up until they find out what is wrong with your baby. I wish you the best of luck, I'm hoping it's an allergy because that can easily be fixed by a change in diet.

It looks like she has some kind of allergic reaction to the kind of milk you are giving her. You have to request for an allergy test to be done to your child.
The symptoms you mentioned above are the same symptoms that my son experienced when he was weeks old; minus the rashes. Arching the back means they are in pain. Passing a lot of wind means the stomach is reacting to what she just drank and are producing a lot of gas. But luckily my son at that time, was just having an episode of colic because my milk didn't come in early. He's ok now because he's breast feeding.
Since you mentioned that you only take soy because of some dairy allergy that you have, she might have inherited your condition. Try some formula that's lactose free.
Either way, you have to be firm and make the doctors listen to you. You have to stand your ground and speak up for you child. Goodluck.

it does sound like reflux, but you could try switching to soy milk. the poos sound normal though. the rash is heat rash, it comes and goes, make sure shes not too hot, don't bundle her too much if its not cold. also don't put anything on it, it will go by itself and creams can make it worse. my son also has lots of boogers up his nose since he was a newborn, he's 5 months and still the same. i know i could get told off for saying this but it works for me so it may help. i use cotton buds (or Q Tips, depending on where you are from) to get them out. have tried everything else but as they are so sticky its the only way that works. doesn't sound like all the symptoms are one thing, but like my boy its probably a whole lot of little things at once, which sucks. you poor thing, sounds like you're having a hard time, but it does get better. good luck.

Yes, it is VERY possible. Milk allergies run in my family as well, luckily my babies didn't inherit that. You are her mother and most of the time mother knows best, trust you instinct as hard as that may be to do with all of the crazy studies and rules that the doctors try to put out there int these days. I'm not saying they're wrong in every case, but sometimes you just need to go with your motherly instinct. Don't ask the doctor, tell the doctor that you are going to switch her to a soy based formula to see if it helps, then ask the doctor if he/she has any tips or information that may be helpful to you and your baby and that may make the transition smooth. It took me quite a few formulas before I found one that worked for my girls when I quit nursing but I figured it out and you will to. It'll get easier as your little one gets older.

I am willing to bet that she is allergic. Get her on some Nestle Soy Formula. Hook up the humidifier (a cold mist one is great as you won't have to worry about her burning herself when she gets older) it will help with her nose. And make sure you keep an eye on her because that nose will likely give her an ear infection. If you have doubts about how competent your pediatrician is get a new one. My friend listened to me for two years telling her that her baby was allergic to cows milk while her pediatrician insited on giving him all sorts of medication (5 a day) for him. She went through four pediatricians when I finally brought her some soy formula. That boy was a whole new child inside of 24 hours. She finally found one that was not wanting o medicate your child as a first resort. Good Luck. Your doing a great job!!

It is possible that this is two different problems. The rash could be baby acne, and she could also have the intolerance for the formula. If you can, maybe get one can of the soy to try. It seems to me that she could need soy if both parents did, I'm not quite sure if lactose intolerance is genetic, but it seems logical. I hope that you can take time for you as well to be you, not just mommy, I am sure you are feeling pretty frantic and stressed. If you feel that something is wrong with your baby, please don't let it go. Good luck, sweetie!!

White mucus is okay, it's when it turns green that there is a problem. The rash may be a cause of bedding fabric, clothes or excessive exposure to sunlight. Not wanting the bottle could be a behavioural trait so encourage it when she is preoccupied. An allergy is possible, but if you've fed her milk solids so far she would be turning different colors! See a doctor and good luck.

My daughter is 4 months old and when she gets really bad gas we give her Mylicon. You might want to try that. She was also put on reflux formula and broke out in rashes and her pediatrician said she is allergic to milk so we switched her to soy formula and ever since we did she stopped throwing up, didn't get belly aches, she wasn't fussy and her rash went away so you might want to switch her to the soy hope this helped.

She certainly sounds like she has an allergy. If you feel the dr. isn't paying attention to you then switch to soy (you don't have to have their permission) and see how the baby reacts to it. Also, switch doctors. If possible, breastfeed, no baby is allergic to breastmilk. But definitely switch to soy, you may want to switch gradually (i.e., 1/2 milk based formula, 1/2 soy formula) at first.
