I think the one thing I didn't want to be "identified" with was a clique. I was captain of the cheerleaders but was sooooo not your typical cheerleader 'cause I was in the advanced classes with the so-called "nerds" who were truly my greatest friends ever. I'm still in touch with the guys that were valedictorian and saluditorian. Besides the fact that they got me through chemistry (whew), they were the people I could have the deepest conversations with. So perhaps that is why friendships with them lasted the longest. But I hung with the jocks, and dated the preppies, were friends with the smart clique, but enjoyed the drama club crowd the most. Theater was my thing! So I think I succeeded in leaving high school without anyone ever strictly saying, "Oh yeah... I remember her. She was that (fill in the blank)." I felt like I was a schmorgasboard! :)

Well, I guess you could say that I was an official popular "mean girl" until about the 11th grade. I figured out that my friends were not really my friends, and I rebelled against the whole "clique" scene. I hung out with who I liked after that. I caught a LOT of flack for it, but I stuck to my guns.

I hung out with all of the cliques. I wanted to see the light of the world from other views than just mine.

I never belonged to a "clic". I had a few close friends and we hung around with only each other.

I was one of the wierdos that fit into every single one of them. I like people, and they seem to like me! So I hung with the Jocks, bookworms, druggies, preps, etc. I went to a HUGE school, where the smallest graduating class was around 1,500!

A "clic" is a ballpoint pen.

A clique is a group. Did yours have names?
