i have been put in charge of our law office expansion. i need to know the best (and of course cheapest...... lol) way of going about getting 200 licenses for Microsoft XP Pro and Windows 2007 for our staff and approximately what these licenses will cost.

You could have some trouble. You need the licenses, but not the computers? And I assume you mean Office 2007.

Dell still sells computers with XP to businesses, but I know it's for a limited time.

You could contact one of the online guys like softwaremedia.com and talk to them about open licensing if you just need the licenses. Probably your most cost-effective way to go.

What is Windows 2007???

Cheapest way for 200computers is a Volume License Key (where you have a set amount of licenses for a discount price compared to usual), ask microsoft for a quote, then see if other companies can quote (e.g. PCWorld in the UK), dunno where your from!
