A right is something you are born with that can not be denied. Gay rights are no different than straight rights.

Gays have all the same rights as anyone else. No person is denied any right because they are gay. Gays can marry, they have the same restrictions as anyone else.

To say the the gvmt should treat everyone equally is a folly. No one would say the rich are denied access to welfare or that everyone should pay the same tax rate.

Saying that, I don't believe that gvmt should regulate marriages. Everyone should get married if they choose and form the union they see best for them, not as defined by a Washington bureaucrat.

Corporations belong to the owners, and they should be free to hire/fire whom they please without consequences.

Well...this is RIDICULOUSLY broad...but I'll play.
I sometimes get tired of what feels like "attitude" from gay men in some mostly gay venues I go to (I'm a trans woman)here In L.A. especially.
I'm tall, far from perfect, but I dress and act respectfully and just get tired of the "oh lookit her" **** from some of the guys..
That said, I'm also in recovery, and I get nothing but love and unqualified support from my gay brothers in those meetings, and they feel free(as do I) to ask about what we don't know about each other.
Frankly, the few guys I'm talking about should just buy a mirror; "you think a tank top looks good with THOSE arms, honey?"
(snap!)

I dislike the differentiation of rights into gay, straight. lesbian, hispanic, black, ad infinitum. I prefer to lump them all together as human rights and treat everyone equally.

Unfortunately, that will never happen but at last in the U.S. it is the closest to the ideal than anywhere else.

How would you feel about gay rights if you were in a situation where your life was in grave danger, and a gay man came along just in time and by his actions saved your life? I mean literally saved your life.
