Are these scientists just agents of patriarchal oppression? Or do feminists accept their findings?

I don't understand why there should be any negative discourse in finding differences between men and women. Guess what - we are different!

That doesn't mean that one is less than the other. But, no matter how hard you try to ignore then, by nature, there are just some things that are wired differently. It is not saying that one is any better than the other - just different.

How is that patriarchal oppression or anti-feminism?

Although the man's brain is bigger, the connection between the left side and the right side of a woman's brain is bigger. Men and women compliment each other. That's the reality. But politics and stupidity often get in the way. Too many women want to be like men, because they feel femininity is inferior. At least that's the way it's seen in men's eyes...

I think if you take your average woman and your average man and compare the way they think and the way they process information then you would probably see that there is quite a difference. However I'm not sure we'll ever know for sure whether this is due to the way the brain is "wired" or the culture we grow up in. I for one grew up with lots of brothers and no sisters, and have gone into a profession that is traditionally a male one - but whether this is to do with being brought up in a more male environment or whether it was to do with levels of testosterone in the womb (as someone was talking about above) I would think will always remain a mystery.

I do think women are much more logical than men though. Men have a really warped sense of priorities.

I heard about it a few years ago, actually. we process things differently. For example, apparently, it's true that, in a lot of cases, women find it difficult to read a map. That's just one example and I can't remember what they said about men. But I don't see why saying that should be a sign of patriarchal oppression. It never says that one is more intelligent than the other, or that everybody is exactly the same.

As for feminists, I have no idea what they think about it (when I say "feminists", I'm referring to women who actually studied feminism and related topics).

Well, I'm one of perhaps 2% of feminists who does accept these findings. The female brain is evolved to make females more likely to survive, as is the male brain. Why this should come as a shock to anyone is beyond me.... I thought we had sorted this out 30 years ago, but apparently not.

The book "The Female Brain", written by a female neurologist with 20 years of experience, was roundly hailed in this forum as "a generalization" and therefore, either BS or something to be censored. Not really our shining moment as intelligent women, IMHO.

Scientists have been saying that for a long time, and it is probably true to a certain extent. It does not mean that either sex is smarter or more logical or more creative than the other. It just means we process things differently. I am a feminist and have no issue with that. Feminists believe in being treated equally, that doesn't mean that we believe that men and women are the same. That would be ridiculous.

No, this line of research is well proven and documented. It pertains to the neural wiring of the brain and its effected by the hormones present in the fetus during brain development. There are tests you can take to see if you have a "female" or "male" brain. A man or woman can have brain patterns of the oppsoite sex to varying degrees.

By physical interaction and contact we observe daily that men and women think differently ,as they act differently too.

Well as a woman, I accept their findings and I hope the feminists will too!

Of course they are built differently.
Each entity fulfills different spaces and purposes to create a whole in any given situation.
