It is just like in Windows XP. You log in under an administrator account, go to control panel, go under "users and accounts," create a new account, and there you are. Set up your account as either an administrator or guest, assign yourself a password, and just like that you are done. Just make sure you remember your password. Hope this helps.

Vista. some human beings say Vista makes use of up lots equipment ram. it incredibly is actual. Vista makes use of those ram to velocity up the laptop. Thats why there is no longer lots unfastened ram. Xp wastes those unfastened ram doing no longer something. Vista is much greater like minded than XP than u think of it truly is. Vista hasn't any difficulty to me for a million year already. Vista is swifter while commencing utility and commencing up the laptop. some human beings evaluate XP using fact they're too used to XP or they're gamer. it variety of feels vista is slower in video games by ability of two-5 fps. No large deal. VISTa!

You are already anticipating your brother using the computer, therefore, I would ask your Mom to set herself as administrator so she can later set restrictions if she wishes, and set up a user account for both of you. To prevent any future problems, Mom might want you and your brother to set passwords to logon and for when the computer comes out of standby.

Mom might want to get a book or two on Vista. I get used books from www.amazon.com. All I have received so far have been in new or like new condition at reduced prices.

Well, if your mom is getting the computer for you, I say the first account to be made should be yours!

When you run the computer for the first time, there are a lot of questions you answer so that it can be set up just the way you want it. One of the question is for the first user. I think it should be you.

If your bro gets to it first, then you'll have to have him set you up. If you get to it first though, then he'll need you to set up his account.
