Rejection. For someone to abandon you, they would have had to of cared about you in the first place.

Abandonment. Rejection is something we will all have to face at one point or another, but nobody should ever have to feel abandoned.

I think abandonment is a form of rejection. I wouldn't want either.

Abandonment!! A parent can abandon a child, but one adult cannot abandon another adult. Adults can deal with rejection, but a child cannot deal with abandonment.

Rejection you get over. But abandonment implies severing a familiar tie that shouldn't have been destroyed.
