just wondering if having 2 firewalls is not a good idea

As a general rule, you should have only one firewall installed on your computer. I am surprised that Webroot allowed you to install its firewall since firewall programs tend to scan a computer for an existing firewall before trying to install itself. I would stick with Norton Antivirus Firewall over Webroot's firewall, just because Norton has many more years of experience with firewalls over Webroot. Webroot is predominately an anti spyware software vendor but, because security software is a tight market, they are trying to branch out and offer all-in-one security software packages to compete with the big guys (e.g. Norton and McAfee). But they are very new in this area.

Webroot doesn't have a firewall. They have antivirus, antispyware, and a couple of other small programs.

Norton Antivirus doesn't contain a firewall. Norton Internet Security, and Norton 360 does.

You absolutely should not run two firewalls, or two antivirus programs.

If you have Norton Antivirus, you can install Webroot Spysweeper. One is antivirus, one is antispyware.
