I have 12 laminate drawers that I would like to line with thin sheets of cedar unless you know of a better way to do this. Where do I go? I called a couple of floor companies and they could not help me. Thanks!

There are different types of cedar..the stuff for moths etc is called "aromatic cedar"..a different species...and then you can buy some that isnt aromatic..so simply decide if your items you want to store if you want them to have that scent or not..now to lign the drawers ..simple cut to size the pieces..and use "liquid nails" or any other good construction adheisive...some factors to dwell on becuase of the additional weight..if this dresser is made from partical board, or pressed wood..forget it..the extra weight will make them eventually not feed on thier tracks to slide in or out...if it is solid wood..then make sure that all the hardware is metal and intact, not loose..or the same problem may occur..probably the thinest you will find will be 1/4 inch thick..heres a couple links here

Sounds like it has a musty or mildewy smell to it. Have you checked for spots of mold? I'm not sure what you can do, though I would bet it might help to let it air outside when it is sunny and warm. If you can, take the drawers out and set them out in the sun. I'm not a febreeze fan, but if the airing out doesn't help, you might try that....worst case you might need to sand the inside of them and seal them with some polyurethane and forego the cedar scent.

Great idea, very expensive. Call a Lowe's or a Furniture Refinishing shop.

Uhgk. Don't do it, it's almost as bad as mothballs and people will smell you and cringe.
