-My car over heated really badly once.
-I got that fixed maybe 7 months ago, but I have major problems with my car now.
-The sending unit isnt sending the water back cold to the radiator.
-The car oscillates in park and neutral.
-The D4 light starts blinking after driving for 15mins.
-Then the check engine light comes on 5mins after that.
-The problem is I could have a warped header.
-I cant use this car as a reliable form of transportation anymore because it wont even go 30blocks without messing up.
That could be your problem as well.

Absolutely it can affect the car. What is causing the smoke? If its blue smoke, generally oil. Black smoke means the car is running too rich and getting poor MPG. OIl is usually related to engine wear, where black smoke can sometimes be helped by a good mechanic.

Smoking kills. One should stay away from smoking engines cause that can lead to other unhealthy habits. Engines that smoke can't keep up with the non smoking ones, they are prone to more disease and premature death. Please convince the engine that smoking is very bad. Maybe some counseling or a patch could help quitting smoking. Good Luck.
