Certainly sounds like ammonia poisoning to me too. You have done the right thing by doing a water change to dilute the remaining ammonia.

I assume the tank is fairly new and in that case you may want to get an ammonia test kit and change water as it gets high for the next week or two as the tank cycles. Once cycled, the bacteria in the tank will take care of the ammonia problem for you. I'll include a link at the bottom that discusses cycling in case you need it.

You really have done the only thing you can do at this point for the fish. Even though it looks bad, they should recover now that you have done the water change. I would suggest turning off the tank light and allowing them a quite, peaceful area around the tank so that they can better recover.

Do a complete water change, but be sure to keep the water the same temperature. I had 4 goldfish as a kid, and 3 died because the couldn't stand the temperature change in the water whenever I cleaned the tank.

i think at this time you need to test the water and make sure that it is fine. also you can add salt to the water (1 teaspoon per 5 gallon of water) as salt is proved to be effective against some fish disease.

based on what you said, it appears that it is bacteria infection due to poor water quality. you should do as what the other said, go to the pet store and pick up some medication.

sorry that i can't be much help. i do hope the fish will recover ASAP.
