It has homogenized national and to some extent world opinion; there is less diversity and the mass media is rendered even more powerful than it was before. I view the emergence of CNN negatively,but then I never liked the Big Three either. I think tv news is not only an unhealthy influence on people,but also on governments as well as the the print media. Everything snowballs once tv gets on the story. Everyone falls into line with the tv angle. I hate it.
