I have been married for 21 years and I most certainly would NOT want to go back to being single. I honestly believe that I would be much less happy. Here's your problem: "Single people simply walk away from unhappy relationships and find happiness elsewhere." This statement assumes that happiness is found externally, a thing that can be located and appropriated. In reality, a deep, abiding, long-term love with a spouse is something not found, but created by two willing partners. This kind of love creates an abiding, rather than a temporary, happiness, and a happiness with depth and breadth, rather than a shallow happiness.

I'm not sure if I could. The reason being that somehow things are not the same in a same sex environment. Unless oneself lived in complete isolation, like a yogi or hermit, or in a monastery (especially in Tibet and India where some monks are ordained as young as 8 years of age, and are in an all male environment) it would be difficult.

But, I wonder how nuns get on. They may occassionally wonder this because of not having children.

I agree with IF ONLY. "It's to late now". I prob could have done just fine if I had not met my husband. I don't NEED a man. But now that I have him, I really like having him. I would be truly sad without him. I mean I would carry on, but life would never be the same without him. Life wouldn't be as bright and as much fun. He is my best friend.

I don't need to live with a man to be happy. But I think I would miss having blokes around in general. Women can get too catty at times!

Probably not. My housemate and his girlfriend were romping on the sofa when I walked in the door the other day, and they're both lovely. I like what they do for one another and no, I wouldn't want to live in a world without women.

Of course be cause of my sexual orientation, but that would be with men to, you would have to be humble and believe in a higher power and felt just a 10 second pleasure ,you can be happy because happiness is in you your soul and heart ,happiness is not a geographical cure , i think that you would be free thinking more in touch with nature.

No I like men, not very keen on women tho, they are so fake a lot of the time and really get on my nerves, some of them are ok, but I prefer the company of men you can have a laugh with them!
