Good question, by the end Tony was every wrestling sites whipping boy, though he had little or no control over what he was told to say on broadcasts, I thought it was unfair, for most of his career he was a steady though not great announcer. Check him out on wwe 24/7 doing classic NWA announcing back in the 80's and he wasn't that bad. I think he'd be better then Tennay or Don West on TNA. Sorry Tennay fans they are the worst announcing team in the business. Great Question, I hardly ever see good questions in this forum.

Not really. Tony Schiavone retired as a wrestling announcer in 2001 after 18 years in the business & is now a sports reporter for WSB radio in Atlanta & is a co-host on "The Gene & Tony Show that airs localy on WGGA-TV in Gainsville, Georgia.
