Endorse the check with the misspelling and right below that endorse it again with the right spelling. Below that, write your account number. Should be no problem.

I think you said your misspelled name and address are both on the face of the check. As long as the address matches the bank records for your account, the error is easy to fix. If the misspelling formed another common name, and your address was not on the check, that could make things harder. Check with the bank before endorsing the check. The will probably ask you to sign with the incorrect spelling before signing with the correct spelling. This actually happened to me with a paycheck once. I made sure the spelling was corrected before the next check.

I've had this happen before too. My first and last name weren't just mispelled they were completly different names although they were kind of close. I just signed the back of my check and deposited it into the checking account. The teller said nothing and it went through like normal. I don't think you'll have a problem.

You shouldn't have a problem. But the reality is that it will depend entirely on the staff at the bank. Especially if it is for a significant amount. If you do any in person banking take it inside and speak with someone who knows you. Otherwise just endorse it, deposit it, and see what happens. If they refuse it you may have to have the check replaced.

I would endorse the check with the incorrect spelling and with the correct spelling on the back of the check and bring your indentification with you.
If they won't cash it, you should be able to deposit it with no problem.
