At this point in his presidency, it's sad to say. But it doesn't matter what he does from now till the end of his term. A majority of America has permanently lost approval for him.

If he admitted he was wrong to invade Iraq, then started a sensible and gradual withdrawal of troops from Iraq and instituted a plan to create a stable situation there, that would be a big step in the right direction.
