can fit safely with 1 pleco
i already have 1 oscar and 1 pleco.
what do you recommend i add?

Assuming your Oscar hasn't been in the tank very long, I would add 2 more his size. If he's been in there alone with the pleco for more than a week, you will need to remove him and rearrange the tank a bit, then add all of the Oscars back at once.
For all of their size, Oscars are actually easily bullied by the more aggressive cichids, so I would suggest more Oscars as the best tank mates. Do watch them though, if a pair forms, you will have to remove the odd man out.

Max is 2 in a 90 gal. One male and one female. My Brother had a 90 gal and thats what he had, the pair of Oscars and one Pleco. Also don't add another Oscar if your current Oscar is big and has his or her home already established. If the Oscar has a home established you will need to take it out, move the decorations around and put both the new and the old Oscar into the tank.

I recommend adding only 1 or 2 more Oscars. Oscar can get really big and soon you may not have enough space if you put in more , having a total of 3 oscars will give you a chance of getting a mating pair, and once they have paired up you should move the other occupants out to another tank, leaving the mated pair to breed.

You don't mention the size of your Oscar if its still small then you'd be OK with maybe 2 more with good filtration, however if he's above 7 or 8" already he's not going to be comfortable with a new addition of an Oscar and something else that grows to a comparable size may fair better. Tin foil barbs, Bala sharks, something that isn't particularly aggressive but grows large enough not to fit in his mouth. Those two I mention prefer to be in groups and to have plenty of swimming space.
If he's large above the 12" mark then getting a partner is going to be trial and error as he's got the whole tank to himself, you would have to remove him change the decor of the tank and reintroduce him after the new addition to stand any chance of success, even that could cost you a fish.
I would tour the shops looking for a pair of Oscars and if you find two, then see if they will do a part exchange for your single, bit callous I know.

I would add a few Oscars, about 3, a few assorted cichlids, about 3 as well, make sure their the same size or greater as Oscars, and i would add just 1 arowana.

I wouldn't recommend it. Especially since you already have one. You would have to get one in comparable size(or slightly bigger) and then as they get bigger there will be territory/mating issues. I would go for another type of cichlid that can keep up but knows it's place. Jack dempseys and green terrors come to mind.

more cichlids. if you want all oscars, i wouldnt recommend more than 3 total. they will get big and eat EVERYTHING
