Hello there. I would like to know how I make it so that when I type words in the address bar (not the search bar), that it would automatically search with Google. I always had Google as default, and I liked it because if I typed a common word, such as "Wikipedia", it would go directly to the Wikipedia home page. But now I've installed this spammy megauploader toolbar which made my default search engine Yahoo!, and everytime I type in "Wikipedia" into the address bar, it gives me a search result. I honestly hate Yahoo!, and I was wondering whether someone could help me change my default search engine back to Google.

Your help is appreciated :D

In Firefox browser go to: Tools > Options > Main then type in Google's address and set it as your homepage or if you have Google on the screen at the time, click on 'use current page'.

There should be a small search box on the top right hand corner. If you click on the search engine symbol a list of different search engines (including Google) show up. If that doesn't work I recommend looking in the Help section. :)

Well I would say that sometime when one does things than can slightly annoy someone and they continue to do it, not saying it is you, but I will try to change that for you. Now since you were very nice about asking. Go to internet options and change it back. If something happen that it goes back to yahoo it could be that something went wrong with the "default" system. Ya know.
Like a change back. Smile.
