Definitely not size. So that leaves color. It could mean religion. But I think times have changed and your mom was a little back in the early 20th century with her thinking. You do what feels right to you. In 20-30 years we're all going to look the same with all the inter- marriage anyway! Maybe she knew you were gay, so if you're a guy, she was trying to tell you to stick with a guy. (Just kidding. Not that there's anything wrong with that!!) :D lol

When you're mother says stick to your own kind i believe that she means stick with those who share the same color skin as you do

LMAO...my mom said the same thing to me. I am a white female and I dated a black guy when I was younger. My mom was not havin it. I told her plain n straight she was prejudice. She repsonded with "Im not prejudice, I don't have anything against black people, I just think they should stay with their own people" I told her she made them sound like aliens. I said they are clean and they do take baths!
