Forensics dont always work with bodies and the crime scene. You could be a forensic scientist and work in the crime lab analyzing finger prints, decoding dna, and sorting through the evidence. There's no short cut here. You're just going to have to be willing to work with corpses and to investigate crime scenes. That's what people in forensics do.

Get a degree in something like chemistry and you can work in the lab on things like trace, hair and fibers, etc. Or biology will let you work with toxicology or DNA. Check with your local PD and see what they require for lab techs.
