Oh, I do understand TMI. I really do. And frankly, exploring here is really about finding the gems. They don't always rest in plain view and about everywhere, you have to hunt for them. *wink*

An e-mail or an IM from my friend in Iraq. I worry constantly. I heard from him this morning though! :)

I've had a lot of disappointments in my life in the past six months. You start to lose faith in yourself..... in your ability to make friendships...... friendships that last.... not the "hi how are you" ones that we also thrive on and depend on...... but the ones that create that bond that you so knowwwww will never sever. And then...... it does. And there are so many people that feel it is easier to just avoid that there was a conflict....... and move on and forget that anything went wrong.... because to face it would mean to look at themselves in a mirror and see something they aren't ready to see. So instead..... I've been left holding that mirror just looking at myself and seeing not only ever flaw and mistake...... but ever conceivable way to make it all right again.
Ok so let me get to the point........ what reassures me.
Well..... besides that mirror.... which tells me all the things I do wrong.....it also tells me all the things I can do well. It does serve a dual purpose. But can I trust the mirror?
Well....... I've met a friend that reassures me that there are still people in this world that stick around even when conflict arrises. That talk things over...... that fix.... that learn.... that move on after becoming just a little bit wiser from an altercation that taught us both a great deal. They say that a tiger can't change his stripes...... but I disagree. Tigers and people.... can make realizations that can alter their core.
This friend.... his examples.... his reassurances...... and his mirror..... all reassure me. :)

Ok...Why is everyone thats answering this talking about something NOT in relation to your ACTUAL question??? You ask if people can "name" you something....
Your profile basically says that you're interested in more of the intellectual perspectives and/or questions...and that it should be taken as a compliment if you answer a question...
I like names with a different perceptive meaning...like maybe... "SpiritStar"..."guide4life"......."compliMAN007"..."funLOVEr"......."JustCuz" or "perceptype29"
Im sorry... This is a good question, albeit a tricky one though. I can say that you wont deserve half the stupid childish answers that you will get in asking this question -with all the simple minded people with extremely poor grammar on here!
I hope you see my point of view, and I hope you have good luck finding the perfect name to fit your personality*....
Most of all... I hope someone else besides me, really READS the question more carefully before answering!!

Looking down at the wedding ring on my finger.
I never believed such a simple thing could be so life altering; it does make a huge difference, when it's official.
I look down, maybe touch it with my other hand, and I know everything will be okay, and that if I think I can't hack it, I have reinforcements.

GREAT question! JC,
Yes, Spring, the season on spring reassures me, it's all that newness, and rebirth, it is to me both; exhilarating and reassuring. It's nature's way of letting us know that the "show must go on!".

How about pork chop. Pork chops have the most tasty meat on them and that meat is Grissel. If I had a nickname, I would want all the ladies to call me pork chop.
